Healing the wounds of your soul

I am sharing something very special with you today, this is a process for healing soul wounds that I have been teaching my clients for over two decades. Through teaching this process to my clients and then through their diligence in applying these simple steps I was able to witness hundreds of people experience freedom from mental and emotional issues that had plagued them all their life as well as seeing many people healed in their physical bodies, because many ailments and diseases are rooted in having unhealed wounds in the human soul. To learn more, I encourage you to check out my website and register for the online class to Healing Your Soul Wounds, as well as my book, “It’s Time for a Revolution.”

So the first question is: How do I get wounds in my soul?

1. Someone sinned against you: abuse, trauma, mental/emotional wounds, rejection, or neglect, just to name a few ways.

2. You sinned against yourself or God: often through the natural tendencies of your temperament/personality weaknesses, dysfunctional generational patterns, or unhealthy learned behaviors that lead to addictions, insecurities, eating disorders, anger, bitterness, etc.

How to Heal the Wounds of the Soul

            1. CONFESS YOUR SINS AND APPLY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Example: “Father God, forgive me for how I have sinned against others today: (list specifics), forgive me for the lies I have believed that caused me to sin against You and myself. I apply the blood of Jesus to these sins. Reveal to me any other offenses I have caused or ones that were afflicted upon me by others, so that I may confess them now.” I also like to take communion at this time.

            2. RELEASE THE OFFENSES AGAINST YOU

“I release all of these sins, offenses and agreements to You, Lord Jesus. Thank you for Your mercy, towards me and others. I trust You to judge all sin and offenses justly, and I will no longer hold myself or others in judgment. I choose to forgive myself and bless those who have hurt me.”

            3. ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO REVEAL AND HEAL THROUGH RESURRECTION POWER

For at least 16-30 minutes (as this is how long it will take you to calm your mind) spend quiet time alone with God asking Him to reveal hidden wounds in your soul. These could be very old ones or even ones that are more recent, but you chose to ignore. Ask Him to reveal them through worship music, Scripture, other Godly people, sermons or dreams. When a wound is exposed go through the first two steps, then pray: “Heavenly Father, I apply the dunamis (mighty and healing) power of the resurrection to the wounds of my soul. I pray there is complete healing in every area of my physical body, mind, will and emotions. I declare Your divine power is making my soul whole. Let no scar or reminder of sin or offense remain. I surrender and release every effect that sin, trauma or offense has left in me, my mind, my emotions and even in my physical body and I leave the pain associated with that memory at the cross. I command my mind, will and emotions to come into alignment with the Spirit of God within me and if ever my flesh tries to remind of what has already been forgiven, I will lay it down again. I declare there is nothing in me that is in common with the Enemy or his evil influences. I have been made pure and righteous by the blood of Christ and I am made new through Jesus Christ’s resurrection power within me.”

DEFINITIONS OF DUNAMIS: Power of the resurrection, power to perform miracles, to be excellent of soul, power and influence which belongs to those with riches and wealth, power and resources arising from numbers, power consisting in or resting upon armies, spiritual forces.

Scriptures

Below you will find Bible verses that support the process of healing your soul wounds, as this is God’s plan for His beloved: that you would seek to be healed, whole, and find the freedom Jesus so preciously paid to give you.

CONFESS:  “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.” -James 4:8-10

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.” James 5:16

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” -1 John 1:19

RELEASE: “For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want is what I keep doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.” – Romans 7:19-20 (We sin out of the wounds of our soul.)

“ Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” (just as your soul is healed) -3 John1:2

“What business do we have in common with each other, (said demon Legion) to Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you do not torment me.” –Mark 5:7 (when our souls are healed Satan and the demonic have nothing in common with us in order to torture us, because our souls are squeaky clean!)

HOLY SPIRIT/DUNAMIS: “Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation altogether BY DUNAMIS); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him]. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (Amplified Classic)

“Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit]. 1 Corinthians 2:10-13 AMP
